TransaXional® Problem Solving and Prevention — Optimization

Schedule Now!

Because of the hands-on project work conducted around your proprietary processes during the workshops, this course is only offered in the workshop format. The length of workshop is determined by the quantity and complexity of the project work and is jointly determined by the client and the Shainin instructor. On-site workshop duration is typically 2 to 4 days, which can be consecutive or non-consecutive to meet the client and project needs. Contact us for more information.

The Optimization Workshop is a continuation of the Shainin TransaXional® Analysis Workshop for business process problem solving and prevention.   Students will learn additional elements of the Shainin STRUCTURAL™ process.  Students are required to bring an approved project to the workshop, (typically the result of an earlier Analysis Workshop.)  The workshop is a combination of class lecture and hands-on coaching for student projects.

During an Optimization Workshop, students will learn:

  • How to assess relative risk for system elements and corrective action options.
  • How to identify opportunities for proactive process control measurements.
  • How to prioritize corrective actions and drive efficient corrective action implementation within cross-functional teams and across an organization.
  • Tools to graphically show:
    • project scope
    • business process improvements
    • proactive process control measurements
    • corrective action implementation
  • Tools include:
    • Optimization Scope Tree™
    • FEMCA®
    • Optimization function model
    • Optimization responsibility matrix
    • Linkage matrix

Course Objectives:

This is the second of a two-part series designed to enable participants to quickly and efficiently:

  • Define and prioritize risk.
  • Define proactive process control measurement opportunities.
  • Document improvements to business processes.
  • Drive and track corrective action implementation.

Benefits:

Participants can use the skills and knowledge gained to:

  • Detect areas of high risk due to lack of understanding or controls.
  • Prioritize risk to enable efficient allocation of resources and selection of high impact corrective actions.
  • Identify the need for measurement systems and improve inadequate measurement systems.
  • Implement effective corrective actions across cross-functional teams.
