Strategies for Reliability and Validation teaches advanced strategies and tools for reactively solving reliability problems in the field and proactively preventing them on new designs. It picks up where the Problem Solving for Engineering Class left off. Reactive topics include: leveraging the differences between the Strength, Energy, and Decay distributions, accelerated testing, and addressing "No Trouble Found." Proactive problem prevention topics include: Conceptualized Failure Mode Testing, Weibull analysis, Overstress Probe Testing™, and Service Monitoring.

Course Objectives:

This course is designed to enable participants to quickly and efficiently:

  • Solve reliability problems including infant mortality, random with time and wear out patterns of failure.
  • Develop strategies for rare events which are difficult to replicate in the field.
  • Develop strategies to solve “No Trouble Found” type problems.
  • Develop accelerated testing to replicate the failure modes quickly.
  • Perform proper development testing using:
    • Weibull Analysis
    • Overstress Probe Testing
    • Service Monitoring

Benefits:

Participants can use the skills and knowledge gained in this course to:

  • Solve tough product reliability problems.
  • Improve product testing to proactively find and fix failures.

Prerequisite:

Strategies For Problem Solving.
