Advanced Problem Solving for Manufacturing builds on the skills developed from Problem Solving for Manufacturing training. The class is designed for Red X® Apprentice candidates and Red X Technicians who have completed the Problem Solving for Manufacturing course.

Students will learn more Red X strategies such as:

  • Converging on the operation within a process where the Red X lives.
  • Developing strategies for Event to Energy Transform and Energy Accounting in the development of dictionary splits.
  • Planning and executing statistically designed single factor experiments.
  • Establishing a realistic tolerance on a product feature and a process parameter.
  • Applying these strategies together with those already learned to complete more complex projects.

Objectives:

This course is designed to enable participants to quickly and efficiently:

  • Solve tougher manufacturing problems.
  • Solve destructive event failure problems.
  • Confirm the cause and corrective action with a statistical test.
  • Establish the correct tolerance for the critical feature, property or parameter of the product/process.
