Red X Solutions completes the FACTUAL™ roadmap for the project team. This class builds on the skills previously learned in either Problem Solving for Manufacturing and Advanced Problem Solving for Manufacturing, or Problem Solving for Engineering and Strategies for Reliability and Validation.

Students will learn to:

  • Complete the Test, Understand and Apply phases of FACTUAL*.
  • Plan and execute full factorial designed experiments.
  • Analyze experimental results and understand response surfaces.
  • Establish realistic tolerances when two inputs need to be controlled simultaneously.
  • Process control to achieve zero defects.

Objectives:

This course is designed to enable participants to quickly and efficiently:

  • Plan and execute statically designed full factorial experiments.
  • Analyze results from statistically designed full factorial experiments.
  • Establish realistic tolerances on two product features or process parameters simultaneously using Tolerance Ellipse™.
  • Use precontrol to plan and execute a process control plan.

Benefits:

Participants can use the skills and knowledge gained in this course to:

  • Use full factorial experiments to confirm relationships of potential Red X factors.
  • Use Tolerance Ellipse to maximize benefit of understanding the relationships of experimental factors.
  • Use precontrol to manage process outputs to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Execute a Risk ReduXion® project to fully close a Red X project.

Prerequisite:

Students must have attended either Problem Solving for Manufacturing and Advanced Problem Solving for Manufacturing, or Problem Solving for Engineering and Strategies for Reliability and Validation classes.

*Leverage is a leadership responsibility and taught in the Rolling Top 5® class.
